Our Mission
Our mission is to remove barriers for individuals seeking chemical dependency treatment by providing temporary foster and kennel services for their pets. As a non-profit, we work with volunteer foster families to offer safe, loving homes for pets in need. While we work toward securing a physical location, we are continuing to grow our foster network.
We would not be able to remove these barriers without our amazing foster families. If you're interested in being part of this mission, please submit an application to become a foster.
A Bridge Between Treatment and Home
The FosterBridge Program
FosterBridge is Serenity Kennel’s program providing temporary foster care for pets belonging to individuals entering inpatient chemical dependency treatment. Through referral partnerships with participating treatment facilities, dogs and cats are placed in safe, caring foster homes until their owners complete treatment and are ready to reunite.
Serenity Kennel carefully coordinates each placement to ensure pets are matched with safe, responsible foster homes where they receive consistent care and stability while their owners are in treatment. By helping preserve the relationship people have with their animals during this time, FosterBridge removes one more barrier to entering recovery and allows families to reunite with their pets once treatment is complete.
